Don't show server or console views when states change
When things write to the console or the server view changes, by default it is opened and shown. It's especially annoying if you want to watch your jUnit tests or what have you.
To disable this for the server view, go to Window > Preferences and select Server from the left menu. And uncheck the checkbox for Show Servers view when server state changes.
To disable this for the console view, go to Window > Preferences and select Run/Debug > Console from the left menu, and uncheck the two check boxes for Show when program writes to standard out and show when program writes to standard error.
